I found my camera and got busy. Time to catch up!!

This is the haircut I gave Bekah a couple weeks ago. Its grown a little and she looks so adorable with her little haircut! I can't wait until her bangs grow in...

Moved in!

So we're moved in now! Hooray! It took then entire day Thursday, and into the wee hours of Friday morning, but we packed two families and all their crap (like 4 families' worth!) into our new house.

I wish my camera hadn't been packed the whole time I really wanted to document the day, but alas, Ben packed it. :( I still haven't found it yet. Hopefully soon. I'd like to show off our accomplishment! :D

I had a good turkey day, we ate at Chuck-a-Rama. It was packed but really fun. I may just do that every year!

Bekah's getting settled slowly. Ben's fishtank cracked in the move, so now we have to get a new one. Good thing the water didn't get everywhere right?

Anyway things are good, just tired and ready for a day OFF.

so tired

no pictures, nothing fun. I'm just too gosh-darn tired.

Been working on the house non-stop, working 40 hours a week, and taking care of Bekah in the evenings and weekends. I'm just so tired.

The house is coming along well. We've hit a snag with one of our last projects, but things are pretty good.

Moving comes next, then maybe, just maybe... sleep.

Our New Family - The McLanes

In a few short weeks, we'll be moving in with our best friends, our adopted family.

I have had lots of advice thrown at me about how awful it will be to live with other people. That I'm crazy. That I'm getting screwed. It goes on and on. I just don't get it.

In other cultures families, or close friends, living together is standard. It saves money, makes economical sense, and works for millions of people around the world. We are not living communally, though we will split much of our grocery/utility bills. We've thought about it, we really have.

I just wanted to introduce everyone to the beautiful family we'll be living with soon:

House Update!

A little mid-way update on the house! I have some before/during pictures. Nothing is quite finished yet, but the change is substantial! We've been working every day we have off there, and it's SO fun, and so worth it! :)
